Christina (Nina) Day, the wife of Ohio State head coach Ryan Day, joins the Ohio State Alumni Club of Greater Cleveland for a conversation about how the family navigated an emotional season ravaged by the pandemic and what it means to raise mental health awareness.
The First Lady of Ohio State Football is originally from Manchester, New Hampshire. Nina and Ryan attended the University of New Hampshire together, although they met when they were six and seven and became best friends. They married in June 2005 and have three children, Ryan Jr., Grace and Ourania.
In 2019, the couple created The Ryan and Christina Day Fund for Pediatric and Adolescent Mental Wellness in conjunction with Nationwide Children's Hospital to help raise awareness, increase educational opportunities, and inspire advocacy for mental health.
