OUAB Presents: An Evening with Monica Lewinsky and Tarana Burke
As two globally recognizable women, Burke and Lewinsky are not strangers to each other’s stories. In this event, they’ll have a chance to discuss where their stories intersect, especially regarding women’s empowerment, scrutiny in the public eye and their fight against abuses of power. Tarana Burke is an American activist, best known for her foundation of the Me Too Movement. Monica Lewinsky, also an activist, advocates for a safer social media environment.

Join us for a conversation with Monica Lewinsky and Tarana Burke. This event will consist of a 45-minute moderated Q&A with Dr. Lyn Tjon Soei Len (Assistant Professor of the Dept. of WGSS), followed by a 15-minute audience Q&A.
