Chronic pain is common, and many providers do not get specialized training in how to approach it in their practice. This training will introduce ways to talk about chronic pain and explore treatment approaches. Participants with learn what chronic pain is, how best to treat it and practice ways to talk with your patients about it. Participants will also learn more about evidence based interventions for chronic pain.
Differentiate key differences between the biopsychosocial model and the medical model in the treatment of chronic pain.
Identify essential messages that behavioral health clinicians should incorporate into chronic pain education.
Describe differences between acute and chronic pain; Understand difference between hurt (pain) and harm (damage, injury).

•Each participant must submit an individual registration to receive CEUs. Please do not share your unique Zoom webinar link.
•CEUs will be awarded to attendees that participate in the full webinar, which will be automatically recorded by Zoom upon your arrival to and departure from the webinar. Partial credit will not be awarded, with no exceptions. Be sure to plan ahead so that you are logged into the webinar on time.
•CEUs will be reported to CE Broker within 30 days for those who provide their license numbers upon registration or when completing the post-course evaluation.
