Courage to Caregivers is a nonprofit located in Northeast Ohio with the mission to provide hope, support, and courage to caregivers and loved ones of those living with mental illness. Our non-profit launched in November 2018 with three signature programs: One-to-One Caregiver Peer Support, Breathing Meditation classes and Support. Our session, Mental Illness Caregiver Burnout Prevention, will look at our unique solution to the problem of caregiver burnout. We will differentiate compassion fatigue and caregiver burnout, to better understand this growing public health problem. When caregivers take better care of themselves, they provide better care to those in their care.
