what should we do about hiring summer interns?
Thank you Laura!
Having done my state screening via SKYPE when skype failed and I literally was on the phone and told them when to advance the screen for my ppt, those can be successful. :)
Best Wishes Jane!!!!
Thanks, Jackie. Things are not ending as I had planned...
I have applicants asking me about interviews and I was like, just give me a week.lol!
Please also let me know if you guys need help with surveys or program eval tools RE: Design Teams
Are we to close our office to the public? We are in a county building and a sign is posted advising people not to enter, to try doing business first via phone or e-mail.
I know it causes financial issues... but how long would it take to make books and share pdf's if needed?
And now we have an April 30th date as well? Clarify please.
We are not to have face-to-face meetings and events through April 20, but Jackie suggested that we telecommute through April 30. Does this mean that we should extend the deadline of face-to-face through April 30?
Do we also avoid one-on-one virtually (video chats), I assume? There is no physical danger but all kinds of digital issues could arise...
We aren't on OneDrive yet, see we are trying to move everything to Box, but it's not going so well. Things aren't sowing up there.
Thank you to everyone for all your work. I know it's not been easy, and I appreciate it!
We were asked to close to the public yesterday and they plan to "close" the building if federal office close (FSA)
This is Sue Hogan...I am concerned about court-mandated Carteens programs as it has a ripple effect on court dates. If we have them virtually, how do we know that participant's actually listen? Also, what are some approaches to letting the court know?
Our court just contacted us to say they are canceled-- likely yours will too...
I called the courts and they were very supportive to not have CARTEENS this month or next.
My court already is not holding traffic court in person. They will be flexible.

4-H foundations grants with programs for spring that can't happen now... we have spent some money but we can't move a camp marketing to the fall, we can delay until next year? I've given Chrystal a heads up.
Does this change need to be approved by Senior Fair Boards?
I created a Qualtrics survey so people can enter their info so I can get the excel file to verify YQCA. If you want me to share it with you email me at Domokos.2
Our county does not do 4-H Online for families yet, would our participants just sign up as the independent?
What if my QA training doesn't start until May
Is this good for three years or just one
Does this change need to be approved by Senior Fair Boards?
I went into 4-H online to verify in the trainings and it showed as complete, is that ok?
Someone asked if they need Sr Fairboard approval
Where again are those PDFs on the intranet? I'm not finding them...
So if we have our power point for our live QA, a note taking form and an activity for the kids to do at the live QA, is it possible that we can do a virtual training for the youth? They would have to turn in answers related to questions posed to them.
Having SFB buy-in would certianly be a good thing...
Is there a blurb for this information to send out? If it was emailed I apologize.
Is it easier to have families with multiple youth do independent login instead of 4-H Online or will that cause more confusion?
Should we try to reschedule dates for May/June at this point if we had to cancel our April ones? I know there probably isn't a good answer for this yet...
Can we still be offering in-person test-out options, by appointment if our offices are stilll open?
The systems are linked, so what you complete in YQCA will show up in 4HOnline as well, so long as the member has a 4HOnline profile (not independent YQCA login)
good for 1 year
oh yesterday was a very email-ey day
If they do the YQCA will it show up somewhere on the youth's 4-HOnline profile that they have completed it?
Can you confirm what OSF ownership dates are for market animals in 2020? Can't find them... ODA says 60 days - is that safe?
...some of us had 90 day dates, but we're changing them to 60 days...
Where does it show up in 4-HOnline?
Correct. Sorry Liz!
Can Lizz also address EquiStep access?
To verify.. It is good for one year no matter when you took the test?

EquiSTEP - you must send an email to Kim Cole requesting permission to access the training. She will then send you an invite to the Canvas training.
That would be great. Thanks
State Fair Ownership deadlines are on their website.
Yes please send the State Fair possession dates.

You can also allow access to youth and volunteers but you must send the names and emails to Kim Cole as well to request an invite.
please send those days from ORC
Please send the dates.
EquiSTEP you have to send Kim a list of people. Kim said they are not allowing us to copy the course and serve as an instructor because it is someone's grad project.
IF you look under Animals, and Training
If EquiSTEP is allowed to replace Horse Safety and Ethics, which parts of it must be completed and how do we as Educators see their results or proof that they completed it. I'm only listed as a student.
A help sheet would be great!

EquiSTEP Email came from Kim Cole on 2/10EquiSTEP is housed on OSU CFAES Canvas and is not available for direct download. If you would like to access the program, please send me an email and I will generate a course invitation for you. If you would like for 4-H advisors/members in your county to access the program, send me an email with their names and emails so I can generate a course invitation for them, too. Once a course invitation is generated, an automated email with a course invitation will be sent to the email on file. This email will come from OSU CFAES Canvas and will invite you to join the course entitled: EquiSTEP. If you click on “Get Started” it will take you to the course log in page. In the Welcome Aboard page click on “Create My Account.” You will have to register an account with Canvas by providing your email address and setting up a password.
Lizz have auctions been effected for families to attend and purchase livestock for project animals?
Can Kirk please request that Kim Cole address our questions about EquiSTEP. We know how to access it but we have other questions. Thanks!
will ask Kim
I sent my email to be added and I got an out of office from Kim. So she may be out until next week
I think we need a Zoom with Kim Cole to talk more about EquiStep
But they cant be in a group???
Or can they do it through Zoom?
yes more horse info please. I'm requiring my people to do it, we started last year.
Anyone working on online training for new cloverbud advisors? If not, I'm going to tackle my own and will share.
auctions been effected for families to attend and purchase livestock for project animals?
...can't wait until next month's Hot Topic...
I am thinking about doing the progam through Zoom - log in as me and play the videos? Have some discussion.
can we do our 990Ns now or do you suggest we wait
Thank you for looking at courses that we all need to offer! Let's use our resources the most efficiently
Do we need to have Hot topics on first and third weeks for awhile with all the changes that are happening?
Original email to families said no 4-H club meetings/gatherings between now and March 30th, do we just modify that email and send again through April 20th or is there different wording?
Livestock; many breeders are glad to do visits to their barns by appointment (to avoid large numbers)
Do they have to put a PQA certification number in when they make their state fair swine online entry?
Why could we not put together a hands-on activity through zoom to count toward the QA requirement?
That's fine thank you!
So all my clubs turn the 990 in in-person. They don't like the blind file. SOOO, I'm assuming they should be scanning and e-mailing or faxing. Can they send in the regular mail?
Just an FYI: Gov. DeWine's press conference is scheduled daily at 2 p.m. Has been starting about 15-30 minutes past that time. You can watch it on ohiochannel.org. Also many news channels stream it.
FYI-- recent Ross County discovery-- I use broadcast emails to communicate with my families. There's an ability for individuals to unclick "subscribe to broadcast emails" under member settings. Turns out at least a couple dozen of my volunteers (I haven't checked members) had clicked unsubscribe. There's no quick way to run a report on this (I checked with Kaylee) but if planning to use this to send emails regarding updates we all might want to double check this-- such a pain but oh well! And maybe you all have been checking this for years!
Following up with Katie... If members have selected "Correspondence Preference - Mail" in their family profiles... they aren't going to get your emails if that's how you are communicating with your families. Just heads up
You can also choose "send to unsubscribe" in your email set up
As a service to our members and advisors is it ok to offer to set up Zoom meetings for them....send them the link and then turn over to an advisor to host. Seems like a good service we could offer right now while not as busy with other things? 8am-4pm for example?
Is there a way to override the "mail" preference? or just change everyone to email?
you can also remove the unsubscribe button
Yep both ways :)
internet is so spotty in our county that my suggestions for zoom meetings have been laughed at. :(
Google Hang out just requires a gmail no paid account
I'm commuting to families through club leaders...and encouraging them all to join our facebook page.
Does someone have a sheet with all these options we can share with volunteers? And if not, can I pay someone to make one?!
Google hang out maxes out at 10 people
Webex is offering Free Video Conferencing for up to 100 people during COVID19
It's easy for all of us to be here because everything else is cancelled!
