I have an Amerihybrid Begonia (calypso) that I intended to overwinter. When I dug up the plant there was no tuber. I have been told that breeders may deliberately breed them as tuberless to prevent overwintering. Any thoughts?
I find the chopstick test works for watering. stick a chopstick in the pot. if there is soil on the stick when you pull it out, plant is wet enough. if nothing on the stick, water.

Maybe I misunderstood but many tropical hibiscus are not grafted. The American Hibiscus Society provides seeds for many tropical varieties of hibiscus.
