DEHAAS.2
28:11
I just use a Zoom link each time. Is using the Multi-step a better way?
Jared Morrison
29:33
Joseph - we will talk about the photo piece too
vah
31:25
When someone sends you a link for a zoom meeting and you click on that does it automatically log you into zoom or do you need to do something before you click the link?
Danae Wolfe
32:03
It will not automatically log you in - so it’s best practice to ensure you’re logged in before joining.
Jared Morrison
33:05
VAH - if you are logged into the desktop client when you click the link, then it will recognize you. If you simply click that link without being logged in to the client, then it will not recognize you
Debby Lewis
33:46
yes, you do
Julie S Crook
34:42
That option is called video?

So if you have a meeting starting at 1:00 can someone log in before the actual start time?
DEHAAS.2
43:58
Sometimes I could not share my screen after exiting my current share screen when I was not the designated host. Was that because I did NOT host the meeting?
Jared Morrison
44:06
Julie - that depends. Technically the room number is active at any time. But you can select options to "join before host" or if not, then the room won't officially open until the host joins first
Jared Morrison
44:54
Tom - screen sharing is managed by the host, so it might have been because someone else was sharing or sharing privileges were temporarily removed

Jared Morrison
01:08:56
Stacey - we will work on a video, another time or some other way to address Skype. That was going to be included here, but Zoom is much more functional in our system now, so we are focusing htere
Stacey Perry
01:09:23
Okay, thanks!
Heather Neikirk

How about recording meetings or presentations and then posting links to view later?
Margaret Jenkins
01:16:05
So there must be one app for each one on phone!
Jared Morrison
01:16:48
Mark - yes we will post links on that COVIS-19 page Danae just showed as soon as they are finished processing in Zoom
Jared Morrison
01:17:27
Margaret - yes, they are different programs so you would have to access them separately. I don't know for sure if both have a mobile app, but I would assume they do
ShaLise Simmons
01:17:46
Yes, Skype for Business is an app on your mobile phone, and you can forward your office call to your mobile phone, if you have a polycom phone
Mark Badertscher
01:18:12
Why share to cloud vs computer? Is cloud only for sharing?
Valeie Hura
01:18:28
Is zoom comparable to Webex?
Jared Morrison
01:18:55
Yes, Webex and zoom would be competitors, so they are similar. Zoom is the University supported program
Valeie Hura
01:19:27
I use webex for metroparks is there a way for them to work together

Christy L
01:21:45
So if a 4-H club is setting up something; can they only use what we recommend or whatever they have access to....through a volunteer for example
Jared Morrison
01:22:51
Christy - I think if they are setting it up on their own, then that would be OK. If YOU, or another OSU Extension employee is setting it up, Zoom is the university supported tool, so that should be used
Wayne Dellinger
