The training is designed to help faculty who mentor early career researchers, whether junior faculty, postdoctoral trainees, or graduate students, to become more effective research and career mentors. The discussion-based approach provides mentors a forum to solve mentoring dilemmas with their peers.

Topics include: establishing expectations; communications; assessing understanding; addressing diversity; fostering independence.

Facilitated by Joy Balta, PhD, Associate Professor of Anatomy and Jennifer Garvin, PhD, Associate Professor, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, both College of Medicine.
