Ike Holter is a prolific, award winning playwright from Chicago. He will be joining us for a webinar to discuss his work and his path to becoming a professional writer. His plays, many of which share settings, characters, and timelines, are centered on fictional Chicago figures and neighborhoods that scream authenticity. He uses his sharp wit to relevantly portray the beauty and challenges of functioning in a multicultural society. He won a 2020 Writer’s Guild Award for Adapted Long Form Television for his work on Fosse/Verdon and received Yale’s 2017 Windham-Campbell Literature Prize for drama.
